The Pink Angelfish , also known as the Enchanted Pink Angel, Pterophyllum scalare , is a freshwater angelfish that inhabits the Amazon River basin in South America. It is occasionally erroneously referred to as ‘Plecostomus’, which actually describes several different species of sucker-mouth catfishes native to South America.
